The Crucifixion of Blessed Alexandrina Maria da Costa

In Alejandrina’s memories there is a description that she gives us of a sensitive vision, a preparation for her mystical crucifixion:

“One night Jesus appears to me, life-size, naked, with just a sash around his waist and on his divine hands, feet and on one side were deep open sores; the blood ran down to his waist and through the sash fell to the floor. Jesus sat up, leaving his legs dangling off the bed, I kissed the sores on his hands with great love and longed to kiss the sores on his feet. As I was lying down, I did not reach them, but I did not say anything to Jesus, but He, who knows my desires, took a foot, raised it and gave it to me to kiss; then the other foot and then dropped them to the same position. Then I looked at the wound on the side and all the blood that flowed from it, very compassionate, I threw myself into the arms of Jesus and said: My Jesus, how much you suffered for my love! I remained leaning on Jesus’ chest for a moment and then Our Lord disappeared.
