El presidente de EE.UU. Barack Obama declaró que Israel «pierde por completo credibilidad» en la comunidad internacional por su posición hacia Palestina y opinó que la política actual de Tel Aviv «está motivada únicamente por el miedo».

La comunidad internacional ya no cree en la intención de Israel de resolver el conflicto con los palestinos en base a la fórmula de ‘dos Estados para dos pueblos’, consideró el presidente de EE.UU. Barack Obama en una entrevista para la televisión israelí. «En las declaraciones del [primer ministro de Israel] Netanyahu hay tantos condicionamientos, que ya no es realista pensar que los mismos serán aceptados en un futuro próximo», declaró el mandatario norteamericano citado por el portal Haaretz.

«El peligro en esta situación consiste en que Israel pierde por completo credibilidad. Ahora la comunidad internacional no cree que Tel Aviv sea serio acerca de los dos Estados», opinó Obama y recordó la declaración «inequívoca» de Netanyahu antes de las elecciones de marzo sobre que el Estado de Palestina no existirá mientras él sea primer ministro.
