Interviene el moderador: No se sabe cómo los incas lograron trasladar los grandes bloques de piedra hasta los sitios de construcción, a menudo situados a muchos Kilómetros de distancia.

En algunos bloques hay señales de haber sido arrastrados, pero se habría necesitado un número muy grande de personas para subirlos de ese modo por las estrechas rampas de acceso que aún se conservan en varios lugares.

Jean-Pierre Protzen calculó que se necesitarían 2.400 hombres para arrastrar el bloque más grande de las ruinas de Ollantaitambo por una de dichas rampas de acceso: el bloque pesa unas 138 toneladas.

Cómo se consiguió transportar bloques de este tamaño hasta la cima de la montaña, y además ensamblarlos tan perfectamente hasta el punto de no dejar el más mínimo intersticio entre ellos, es no sólo un problema para el hombre de hoy, sino hasta un misterio. Y mucho más teniendo en cuenta la simplicidad de las técnicas utilizadas por los incas.

How managed to transport blocks of this size to the top of the mountain, and also join them so perfectly to the point of not leaving the slightest gap between them is not only a problem for people today, but even a mystery. And much more considering the simplicity of the techniques used by the Incas.
